Jonathan Garvin began working with Rails in June 2006 when he took a leap of faith, left a job implementing computer systems for 911 dispatchers, and joined an educational non-profit as a software developer.

Jon had his first patch accepted into Rails Core in May 2007 (#7742) and published his first Rails plugin (ARID) the following month.

Like many developers, he always has several personal Rails projects in various stages of incompletion going at any particular moment. One of them is expected to see the light of day very soon, or so he’s been saying for the last 6 months.
