Writing for the web

Content is king on the web. I’m well versed in methods of writing for the web (I write for Macworld Magazine’s blog MacUser.com), with regards to the language, as well as formatting and page design. If you need effective marketing copy for your website, look no further.

Other frameworks

I also have enough knowledge of PHP to create an application with that, though I prefer to work with Rails. If you’re looking for an ASP or .NET developer, I’m afraid all I can give you is a stunningly persuasive argument to switch to Rails.

Setting it all up

I’m well versed, and in fact mildy in love with installing a Ruby on Rails stack from scrach. That includes Ruby, Rubygems, Rails, Subversion, Apache, MySQL, Mongrel, Capistrano, and more. For my latest project I even integrated a PHP application with my Rails project, and automated its deployment.

Proving it.

To view an example of my work, visit devthatweb.com. I created this app from scratch using Ruby on Rails. When it came time to deploy, I configured PHP on the server so I could use Mint traffic stats.
