After a long time working as a programmer and sysadmin at the the Stanford Genome Technology Center, Stanford University, including two years doing Rails development and some Ruby bioinformatics development alongside my sysadmin duties, I started in November 2008 at the DOE Joint Genome Institute as a full-time scientific application developer working primarily in Rails.
In a recent side project, I’ve been learning JQuery assisting my son with his Rails gaming support application, spellbook.heroku.com.
I’m actively involved in the East Bay Ruby on Rails meetup.
