Nick Plante (‘nap’) has been a software developer for approximately ten years, having focused on web applications and network services for the majority of that time. Until 2006 he worked predominantly in Java and PHP, at which point he found Ruby and was immediately smitten with it and the power and flexibility of the Rails framework.
Nick is presently one half of web application development firm Ubikorp Internet Services, and also freelances. He spends his spare cycles working on (yet another) Web 2.0-ish startup. Nick also enjoys foreign films, comic books, loud music, and talking about himself in the third person.
