I’m a software developer and partner at Mutually Human Software
I’ve been using Ruby for several years now, and Rails since around the start of 2005. I’ve done a considerable amount work and research with Rails, RSpec, testing and Ruby. I taught a Rails refactoring tutorial at RailsConf 2008 and I am a co-author of The RSpec Book published by The Pragmatic Programmers. In addition I’ve contributed to several open source projects like: Rails, RSpec, acts_as_money, Money, wxRuby, RDT (Ruby Development Tools for Eclipse), and even contributed the standard library documentation for Ruby’s socket library.
When I’m not working on other peoples open source projects I spend time contributing to my own, such as: ar-extensions (ActiveRecord extensions for Rails), CachingPresenter, Examples for NCurses and Ruby, Roles, FactoryLoader, RenderWith, ActsAsComparable, and ActsAsDropdown.
My developer journey has taken me from working on and leading projects for Fortune 100 companies to government institutions to small companies to startups. Over the past several years I have delivered systems built in 4D, Java, Ruby, and Rails.
