Working With Rails

This is a rare opportunity for a skilled and ambitious Ruby on Rails developer to join a rapidly growing national consulting firm specialising in Business Intelligence services (eg. performance reporting, data warehousing and data management).

Your responsibilities will include design, development and deployment of a suite of new Rails applications for internal use and for licensing to clients.

As the Lead Developer, you will manage the Product Development Strategies, work with members of the company to prioritise features and deliver them to high quality on a predictable schedule. You will use your experience of (or for the right candidate, gain command of) the full extent of the Rails behaviour/test-driven development life- cycle, including deployment to in-house servers and data centres. Once the development is done you will be working with clients to ensure that the benefits of your applications are realised. Your contribution and advocacy of Rails will cause skilled members of the company to contribute to your coding and testing efforts further boosting your output.

If you have:
* a relevant tertiary qualification,
* between 2 and 6 years professional experience developing software preferably in Rails,
* detailed knowledge of the Rails tool chain,
* and a desire to use this tool to make people sit up and take notice,
