Working With Rails is an open database where anyone can add or remove information about an individual involved within the Rails community. Comments, suggestions or feedback.

Aims
- Give as much freedom as a Wiki using a structured database.
- Improve the usability and accessibility of the content
- Increase reliability - give back control and ownership to the individuals whose information is being displayed
- Be able to cross reference records with ease
- Give rise to new content streams such as authority and popularity
- Try to avoid the problems of spam that the Rails wiki suffers by protecting against attacks.
Background
The Working With Rails wiki page provided the starting point for this project. It gives an insight into the developers working in the Rails community and where they are from. We wanted to expand upon this concept incorporating a tool for finding and locating developers, gauging trends and seeing who is in whose sphere of influence.
