Want to reward Rails core contributors and gain some good publicity? Rails Hackfests are a positive high profile way to show your support for Rails and those that maintain it.
How does it work?
We run regular monthly contests and one off sprints. The monthly contest runs for a specific month where as a sprint may only last a set number of days.
Contributors progress during the contest period is tracked and displayed on a chart published on site.
Sponsors receive a slot for their logo and link back to their site on the same page as the chart.
What sort of prizes should I contribute?
It's totally up to you but techie related gadgets, tools, tokens, and service subscriptions are popular choices.
How are the prizes distributed
At the end of the contest you will receive contact information for the winners. It is then your responsibility to get in touch with the winners to arrange their prize.
Display the chart on your site
Direct syndication is available for you to display the current chart on your site. (with your own branding should you wish)

- How you want the prizes to be distributed. E.g. top 10 winners
- Your logo and corresponding link
- Any corresponding further info or prize conditions
