Hello all, I need to cook up some data and site statistics for our blog application. Is there anything out of the box I could use with ActiveScaffold? Or are there any popular plugins that people use to generate these metrics? I’m basically looking for total users, posts, comments, etc. and be able to organize them in a basic chart. The Open Flash Chart plugin looks very slick. But I would also like a simple chart with ability to sort/filter the data. Thanks! |

So if I understand you correctly, you are most interested in calculating and presenting reports of your model data, and not your general site traffic data? Kevin Kevin Elliott |

Correct, I would like reports on the model data. I’m putting together a very basic chart right now, but I’m hoping there is a snappy plugin out there that would give me in depth reports on the data that is being stored across the different models. |

In this week’s RailsEnvy Podcast, Ruport (http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/ruby/2008/04/08/ruport-business-reporting-for-ruby.html) was presented to do pretty much this kind of stuff. I think it looks pretty sweet but it may be overkill in your case. |
